Before You Bring Your Kitten/Cat Home
Before you bring a new kitten/cat into the house. You need to prepare a room for a kitten/cat. You are required to isolate your kitten/cat from other animals in a small room for 2 weeks. It is very important that your kitten/cat is given some time to settle into his/her new home before introducing it to other household animals. After your kitten/cat has become comfortable around you and your family, we recommend slowly introducing him/her to the household animals and other rooms. This time frame varies for each kitten/cat.
By the time the kitten/cat leaves our cattery, he/she will be already litterbox trained but be aware there will be a transition period in which the kitten/cat must become used to your home environment. As soon as you bring a kitten/cat into your house, put him/her in the litter box every 2 hours until he/she uses it.
We feed our kittens/cats with dry food daily and wet food every evening. We use Purina One. Please stay with the same brand for the wet and dry food we used. Purina offers a variety of kitten/cat food brands to meet your kitten/cat’s unique needs & preferences. If you will use one brand for dry food and another brand for wet food, you may expect loose stools. Diarrhea is not good for kitten’s/cats’ health.
If you do choose to feed your kitten/cat with different food, do expect a short period of loose stools while the kitten/cat’s digestive tract becomes familiar with the new food. We also feed our kittens/cats with Raw Diet. If you decided to feed your kitten/cat with Raw Diet Only, please let us know so we can transfer your kitten/cat to a raw diet.
